Jeremy Wilkins skippered in the Ilkley match and here he is bowling: on the right Nick Bunday plays defensively.

Ru Bunday bowling at Harrogate where he took 1 for 27:  on the right Sam Palmer cover drives at Ilkley.

The happy squad that travelled to Yorkshire.

[back l to r]:
Nick Bunday, Barry Aitken [ump], David Bromley, Jake Bunday, Will Dawe,

[front]: Sam Palmer, Tom Andrew, Jeremy Wilkins, Tom Grant, Jack Bramwell, Chris Downham and Henry Loveless.

v Free Foresters CC, 18th July

Tom Andrew watches the ball right onto his bat: his opening partner on the right was Max Hopton.

The bowlers:  Vaughn Williams on the left and Rowan Duckworth on the right.

Alert fielding from Hamish Fyfe, and on the right, Shaun Newing and keeper David Bromley.

v Urchfont, 14th July

The field is set; 4 bowlers
took 2 wickets each and Urchfont was all out for 96.  On the right
Dan Hodder works one away past

Urchfont namesake Ben Hodder [no relation].

A close-up of Jack Bramwell whilst on the right Joe Moloney is about to make fielder Ben Hodder wish he was not so close!

v Nigerian Cricket Federation, 11th July 2013 at Dauntsey’s School

On the left we have the Nigerian opening
bowler: on the right Tom Cullen and George Sandbach who made a stand of
174 for the Queries

On the left Tom Cullen, 145*, and on the right George Sandbach, 82.

On the left the Queries cordon, skipper Joe Dorgan, Vaughn Williams and Duncan Lorrain with the gloves. Joe bowled

a magnificent 8 overs and took 5 for 35.  On the right 3 “senior pros” who came along to watch – David Germain, Peter Salisbury and

Richard Brewer – , advance on the tea tent!

v Dauntsey’s School, 25th June

It was great to have Joe Wookey back in a Queries side, keeping wicket, as well as to see Simon Wells bowling for the Queries.

v Chilmark CC, 16th June

Chris Downham and Chris Sloane chat in the field.  On the right Ru Bunday in action.

A couple of views of the slip cordon. In the right photo, Tom Shaw is the keeper who had earlier scored 118; Chris Sloane is at 1st,

candidate Luke Neale at second and he took 5 wickets as a bowler;
Ru Bunday at 3rd and Simon Cottle at 4th.  Simon  was
playing his

first Queries game for a long time and scored a half century!  Cover point is Alastair Coupe

v Monkton Combe School, 2nd May.

It was altogether different weather at Monkton Combe!  The school batting was below par and they were all out for 83.

On the left is Barney Rocke – also a Wiltshire Query candidate – trying
to hang in as a tail-ender. Brian Thompson is keeping and

Jack Bramwell, Neil Clark and David Haywood are in the cordon.  On
the right Geoff Ramsey is congratulated having just taken a wicket – an
important one

as it was the school skipper and top scorer James Arney.

On the left, Barney Rocke at full tilt. His radar was not working and he bowled 6 overs for 32 runs. On the right Jack Bramwell

rehearses a stroke. He opened with Neil Clark, scored 23 to Neil’s 55 and shared a stand of 87 to win the game by 10 wickets

v King’s School, Bruton, 28th April.

Three
scenes taken during the Queries fielding session. It was a bitterly
cold day and the cordon – Will Dawe, Dan Hodder, Vaughn Williams and
keeper Brian Thompson –  tried hard to keep their hands warm: not
so much a problem for the bowlers like Vaughn Williams and Ru Bunday.
